Tropic Marin Plus-NP 200ml is a liquid dosing solution part of the Tropic Marin carbon dosing system. Used to raise nitrate and phosphate levels in an aquarium when the system is lacking. To thrive, coral require a minimum amount of nitrate and phosphate compounds to metabolise their zooxanthellae algae. Zooxanthellae is essential to corals, providing most of their nutrition required through photosynthesis. However, these zooxanthellae are not capable of producing nitrates and phosphates to feed off, so we must ensure that they obtain enough of it to support the corals needs. Ultra-Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS) are particularly prone to this lack of nutrition.

Plus-NP provides these compounds in concentrations that are tailored to a coral’s needs. They are bound by an organic energy source so they coral can utilise the, more effectively than inorganic nutrition sources. This will minimize the loss of nutrients caused by denitrification and absorption. For best results, use along side Reef actif and/or NP-Bacto-Pellets.
